Lord Glorfindell watching from his high window smiled down on the approaching women of his family. His first wife Celedra had died giving birth to his twin children, Celebriel being the older of her twin brother Elceleb by five minuets. At just that moment Elceleb came running into his fathers tower room, “father may I see her, may I see Elriel?” He said slowing his pace and finally stopping by his beloved father’s side, his robes still swirling. “My son” Glorfindell rested his hand on his sons tawny head ‘so different’ he thought ‘from your sister, so…curious and eager.’ The thoughts had barely finished when his son answered “I am different father, Celebrial has been aware since before her birth, she still is angry at me for our mother’s death.” The child’s eyes slowly searched every part of his father’s face, as if memorising it.
“Shh my son, we must think of happier things today, I will speak with Celebriel tonight and remind her of your love for her, but you new mother is here. Tell me what you think.” Glorfindell pointed out the window towards his bride. Elceleb barely raised his eyes over the high window sill, and what lovely eyes they were, milky green like unripe raspberries, with flecks of golden brown along the edges. When his eyes finally rested on Elriel, he gasped. “What is it my son, what startles you so?” Glorfingell’s hand slid to the back of his sons head and he tilted it so he could look into his eyes. ‘She is so happy father, and so scared, so young. Yet she is pregnant, and it will cause such discord, but she does not know this. She loves you and fears you reaction the babe.’ Glorfindell’s eyes never shifted from those of his son. “Be careful my son, of this gift, it could cause you much discontent. Now come with me to meet our Elriel, and her two children.
“Father?!” Glorfindell looked lovingly at his son. ‘All the sons of the Elder have the gift of telepathy, my son.
